Warm air at the vents, ice on the lines, or a breaker that keeps tripping isn't a wait-it-out problem when Lacombe, LA temperatures climb. Pressure, amp draw, and coil condition all get checked before any part gets quoted.
A refrigerant top-off with no leak search is a classic way homeowners in Lacombe end up paying twice. Our process is pressure readings, spec comparison, and electronic leak detection, because a properly repaired leak outlasts three top-offs.
What every AC visit includes.
Every tech handling refrigerant carries current federal certification — a legal requirement we take seriously.
No-cool situations jump the schedule, most Lacombe requests seen same-day in peak season, even during the busiest stretch of summer.
Whatever the repair, the quote holds before work starts.
Sniffers and UV dye find the actual leak point instead of masking the symptom, not just a temporary patch.
Six issues that cover the majority of what we see.
The leak gets found and repaired at the source, then the system is recharged and pressure-verified — not just refilled and sent on its way.
A compressor that hums without starting or pulls high amps gets tested at the windings and start capacitor before we recommend replacement.
We find why the coil froze, not just defrost it and hope.
Dual-run capacitor failure is a leading reason an outdoor unit won't start, and it's usually a same-visit fix once confirmed.
A coil caked in debris can't reject heat properly, which spikes head pressure and stresses the compressor, so we clean and inspect during the visit.
A blown fuse or tripped disconnect can present exactly like a dead compressor, so we rule these out first to avoid an unnecessary replacement.
What to expect once you call.
Tell us what the system is doing and we'll get a tech moving.
A fully stocked truck arrives within your window.
Pressures and amp draws get measured before anything gets added, then quote a flat rate.
Most repairs finish same visit, covered by our warranty, backed in writing.

Unit was running nonstop and still not cooling below 78. Tech found the charge was almost 20% low from a slow leak nobody had caught.

Common questions before booking an AC repair.
Usually a refrigerant leak, compressor failure, or a dirty condenser coil — we check all three and we test each before quoting.
Sure, but it won't stick — refrigerant is a closed system, so if the level dropped, it went somewhere specific, and we'll say so before you pay for one.
No-cool calls get priority routing, typically seen within a few hours, usually resolved within a few hours of your call.
It won't hurt anyone, but continued operation risks the compressor, so it's worth addressing quickly.
Our focus is central and packaged systems, though we can point you toward window unit resources, and can advise on window units.
You're paying for a proper pressure and electrical workup, not a guess — and that fee comes off the total if you move forward with the repair once you approve the fix.
